Tell Congress: America doesn't want taxpayer-funded abortion

Dear [title] [last name],

As a constituent, I am asking you to pledge opposition to any spending bill that does not include the bipartisan Hyde Amendment.

Repealing the Hyde Amendment would introduce taxpayer-funded abortion, opposed by 60% of Americans, according to Marist Polls.

As Democrats for Life of America has pointed out, the Hyde Amendment is good policy for several reasons:

  • Abortion is not healthcare: In a country with a maternal mortality crisis, we should fund more Medicaid, not more abortion.
  • The Hyde Amendment protects conscience rights: Most taxpayers do not want their money being used to fund violence.
  • Low-income women don't want taxpayer-funded abortion: All polling shows that low-income women, especially women of color, oppose Medicaid-funded abortion.
  • The Hyde Amendment saves lives: The Hyde Amendment has saved the lives of around two million people, many of whom are people of color.

Save the Hyde Amendment.

Vote to protect life and protect conscience rights.
