Hello [Rep/Senator] [Last Name]!

My name is [name] and I am your constituent. I am from [City/Town].

I am so happy that The Oklahoma Domestic Abuse Survivorship Act (HB 1639) has made it this far! It is truly a victory for the women and girls of Oklahoma.

It is very important to me that this victory applies to the women who are still incarcerated and are survivors of Domestic Abuse themselves. It seems very unfair to me that HB 1639 only protects future victims, but not the current ones serving time for simply protecting themselves and their children.

As a concerned citizen I believe that incarcerated domestic abuse survivors deserve the same opportunity for resentencing as future victims will get under the bill. We can’t leave our daughters behind!

Thank you for using your power for good, and supporting Oklahoma's survivors
