I am writing in support of the Hyde Landing project in Clinton, Maryland, specifically emphasizing its potential to help address critical infrastructure challenges, particularly concerning long-standing infrastructure concerns in the local area that include the Piscataway Road (MD 223) and Steed Road intersection and the Brandywine Road and MD 223 intersection.
The proposed redevelopment of Hyde Landing outlines important improvements that will begin to help address the infrastructure issues in the area, including additional turning lanes, expanded road capacities, bike lanes, and pedestrian-friendly walkways. The Hyde Landing project will be a catalyst to helping to improve infrastructure, enhance safety, and ensure smoother vehicular flow in our community.
While there are many other benefits associated with the Hyde Landing project, given the urgent need for a project that will enhance and provide a major impact on improving community safety and mobility, I respectfully urge the Planning Board to support and recommend approval for the Hyde Landing project (ZMA-2022-005).
