When a voter registers through the online election portal, their information goes directly to the Supervisors of the Checklist for their town &ndash; maintaining local oversight and checks on voter registration.</p> <p>Currently, 42 States and Washington, DC use an election information portal - it is tested technology that New Hampshire can implement based on strong performance of this technology in other states.</p> <p>Providing information to the Supervisors of the Checklist electronically instead of on paper forms saves taxpayer dollars in election worker time, as the electronic forms would be quicker to enter into the state&rsquo;s already existing electronic voter information database. An election information portal would ease the process of registration and absentee ballot requests especially for voters with accessibility needs.
