Dear [Your Elected Official],

<p>I am a concerned New Hampshire resident asking you to support HB 1364. This bill makes it a crime to intimidate election officers, to improperly influence the electoral process, and to tamper with electronic ballot counting devices. This has become more of an issue in recent years with the prevalence of dangerous rhetoric that our election officials conspired to steal or rig the last presidential election. Our election officials provide a great civic service and deserve to be protected from threats, harassment, and potential violence. They are integral to making our democracy work, and our democracy has a responsibility to keep them safe.</p> <p>As we grow closer to the election this volatile situation has gotten more serious. Just in November, election officials in Washington, Oregon, California, Nevada, and Georgia were sent envelopes containing white powder - at least four of these envelopes included the dangerous drug fentanyl. These issues need to be addressed and HB 1364 is a step in the right direction.</p> <p>Please support our election officials and vote in favor of HB 1364.</p>
