CA SB-1160 would force the registration of "every firearm that is kept in [California]", apparently, even ones owned by non-residents. But, as expected, those who hate liberty have taken pains to exempt all government entities from this registration plot. In addition, citizens would be required to pay a fee for the initial registration of each firearm and another fee for every annual renewal thereafter. This tax on 2A rights will be purportedly used to create and maintain a searchable database which contains data on firearms and their owners which will be shareable with other law enforcement agencies. Anyone who dares to violate this statute will be fined $1,000. Some say, "No one wants to take your guns." The anti-gun California lawmakers strongly disagree and are moving to do just that. History tells us that registration invariably leads to confiscation. The Bolsheviks did it, the Nazis did it, and now anti-gun lawmakers in the California Senate are trying to do it. This brazen move toward confiscation of your firearms by the state must not be taken lightly. Act today to let the California Senate Public Safety Committee know just what you think of this attack on your liberty.
