I am writing today as a resident and voter in Wyoming, to urge you to immediately sign HB0125 and repeal Gun Free Zones in Wyoming!
Here is why:
· This bill repeals dangerous Gun Free Zones in most public places including government buildings, the Capitol, schools, and colleges.
· Reliable Research indicates that 94% of mass shootings occur in Gun Free Zones because madmen don’t obey signs and know law-abiding people are disarmed.
· The FBI reports that 86% of police believe armed citizens can stop or reduce the severity of a mass shooting.
· Obama’s CDC reported that guns are used 16-100 times more often to save a life than to take a life.
· 12 States already mandate that people can carry guns on College Campuses.
· All the neighboring states to Wyoming allow carry in the Capitol except Colorado.
· Utah has allowed carry in Secondary Schools for 30 years without incidence. Six other states also allow concealed carry at schools.
· Lastly, and perhaps most importantly, I have a Constitutional Right to protect myself and my family.
