A well down audit ensures that enough polling places are audited to ensure confidence and that we audit not just images of ballots but importantly look at the results from the ballots themselves.&nbsp;</p> <p><br />34 states and Washington, D.C., require a traditional post-election audit. New Hampshire passed a trial version of an audit program ahead of the 2023 last election but the House and Senate failed to agree on a permanent audit last year. We need a bill to cross the finish line before 2024. We also need to make sure our post election audits are done first and recounts are done afterwards.&nbsp; Election denialism is real and we must do everything we can to make sure people do not lose faith in our elections.
