HB1370 and HB1091 are heading to a committee of conference on Wednesday, June 5th - please contact the committee members asking them to kill HB1370 and support HB1091 particularly it's proposed definition of political committee and the online filing requirement.

HB1370 as amended by the Senate is dangerous to voting rights in New Hampshire. This bill removes the ability for those registering to vote to sign a sworn affidavit - a powerful legal document with serious consequences that has shown to be safe and secure time and again - if they don’t have physical proof of identity, age, citizenship, or domicile (address). This bill also would create a new, untested, verification hotline system to be implemented by election officials for the first time months before a Presidential election, creating new burdens on our election workers and long lines to register to vote as well as costing tax payer dollars.

HB1091 is a bill that cleans up any confusion in our existing campaign finance law by establishing concise and uniform definitions, requiring online filing to prevent inaccurate or illegible reporting, and other measures that take all the confusion and guess-work out of campaign finace to encourage full transparency.
