Summary
<p>H.R. 2743, called the Fair Access to Banking Act, amends the law to prohibit large banks, credit unions and card payment processors from refusing services based on any reason other than objective-based risk management.</p>
<p>No longer will they be able to discriminate against gun owners and manufacturers without real, objective, fact-based financial risk reasons.</p>
<p>Not only does it implement punitive measures against violators but permits citizens harmed by their illegal discrimination to file civil suits against the offending institution(s).</p>
