Tell FIFA: Morocco’s Dogs' Lives Matter More Than World Cup!
2652 / 5000 Have Signed
Gianni Infantino, FIFA President, The FIFA Council
As Morocco bids to co-host the 2030 FIFA World Cup, over three million stray dogs face mass slaughter under the guise of "cleaning up" the streets. Every year, hundreds of thousands of dogs in Morocco are poisoned, shot, and left to die in agony — a practice that has only escalated since FIFA's announcement.
In 2019, Morocco promised to use humane methods to control the stray population, but recent evidence, including shocking footage from the 2023 FIFA Club World Cup, shows dogs dying agonizing deaths in the streets.
We urge FIFA to reject Morocco’s bid until the country enforces humane solutions for its stray dog population. FIFA must stand against animal cruelty and ensure its tournament does not come at the cost of innocent lives.
