Dear [Your Elected Official],

<p>As Congress returns for business, I urge you to speak out and vote against any anti-LGBTQ bills, resolutions, amendments, and riders because your LGBTQ constituents and their allies are an integral part of the community in our state deserving of your support.</p> <p>Policies that block transgender people from using the restroom according to their gender identity don't make anyone safer. They endanger transgender people and they subject all women to greater scrutiny.</p> <p>Attacks on the employment, housing, healthcare, relationships, and education access of LGBTQ people will result in higher poverty, homelessness, and suicide rates. They are in principle beneath the dignity of free people. </p> <p>The votes of the LGBTQ community and allies should not be taken for granted, but earned with engagement and good public policy that expands opportunity for all.  I am watching your actions in Congress closely for concrete support.</p> <p>Thank you for considering my views.</p>
