Baby Boxes provide a secure, anonymous, and life-saving option for mothers in crisis, ensuring newborns are safely received and cared for. Since 2016, over 140 babies have been legally surrendered through this method, and expanding protections in North Carolina would allow more at-risk infants to be placed in loving homes. The bill also includes key safety measures and requires no state funding, as Baby Boxes are supported through private donations.

This is a commonsense, pro-life measure that protects both mothers and newborns. Please support this bill to strengthen North Carolina’s Safe Haven laws and help ensure every child has a chance at life.
