On Tuesday, February 11th, the Maine Legislature failed to pass the emergency supplemental budget (LD 209) needed to fund programs through the end of June 2025, including crucial funding for MaineCare. A two-thirds majority is needed to pass this supplemental budget, and without Republican support, DHHS has warned that "the Department will need to temporarily withhold certain payments from providers starting in March in order to ensure that at least a percentage of claims are paid until the Department receives sufficient funding" While temporary, these payment caps would be devastating to health care providers across the state.

Help urge the legislature to pass the supplemental budget and ensure that providers do not face MaineCare payment caps - send a message to your legislators. For the most impactful message, please customize and add a personal touch to your message.
