Dear [Your Elected Official],

<p>HB64 is of major concern and I urge you to vote NO on Tuesday in the Education Committee because of the harm to students and the massive intrusion into private education.</p> <p>State laws around the country that exclude transgender students have increased suicide attempts and assault attempts against transgender students, though there is no evidence they pose a danger to other students.</p> <p>This bill also represents a major imposition of government control over private residential schools, colleges, and camps. Has the sponsor consulted these private entities about their views on the bill? One issue touched on in the subcommittee was the possible cost to private entities for compliance. We need more information and certainty before moving forward with this risky bill that increases the size of government in the life of private education.</p> <p>Thank you for considering my views.</p>
