Let's Hold Chemical Companies Accountable!
Dear Governor Armstrong,

Please do not let multi-national pesticide companies rig the system. As your constituent, I’m asking you to veto immunity for pesticide makers. I’m asking you to veto House Bill 1318. That bill gives foreign chemical corporations like ChemChina total immunity for violating federal pesticide labeling requirements. If the manufacturer becomes immune from a failure to warn, who is next? It will be the seller and the farmer. The innocent seller doctrine and indemnification for the seller from the manufacturer will be no more.

HB 1318 trades an open courtroom for a closeddoor process where the only expert is the
pesticide manufacturer that profits. These companies want a law that prevents them from
facing accountability when their product causes cancer, brain damage, infertility, and makes our children sick. Almost every other state has rejected this immunity—you should to.

Thank you for your consideration.

Sincerely,
