Lawsuits are our best means to get the truth from big corporations and hold them accountable. And we need to protect that right. Big chemical companies, rather than do the right thing and adequately warn users of their pesticides that large scale exposure will lead to dramatically increased risk of Parkinson's and cancer, these massive corporations want to shut the courthouse doors before the evidence can ever see daylight.
Please veto House Bill 1318 because it gives foreign chemical corporations like ChemChina total immunity for violating federal pesticide labeling requirements.
We must protect our rights. We must not close the courthouse doors for farmers and farm
families in our state. That’s wrong. Please vote no on pesticide immunity.
