Let's Hold Chemical Companies Accountable!
Dear Governor Armstrong,

I’m reminding you that dozens of farmers and ag workers in our state have sued
Bayer/Monsanto and ChemChina for developing cancer and Parkinson's after exposure to their chemicals. These cases represent a tiny fraction of the many hundreds of thousands of lawsuits they've faced around the world. Less than 1%.

I’m asking you to veto House Bill 1318.

Seven other states have stopped such legislation from becoming law in just the last year. Why would we do it? What will it accomplish? If you make this law, it changes everything for farmers and ag workers who have been given a death sentence due to exposure.

This HB 1318 does nothing to help our state or our communities. It sends one message: that farmers and ag workers in all 49 other states retain their legal rights, but in our state, their lives are worth nothing.

Please vote against this immunity for the pesticide makers.

Sincerely,
[Your Name]
