Dear Governor Armstrong,

I’m your constituent and I urge you to veto the pesticide immunity bill, House Bill 1318, which protects ChemChina, Bayer Chemical, and any corporation from accountability for harmful pesticides. This bill threatens the well-being of farmers, farm families, and consumers in our state.

House Bill 1318 gives companies total immunity, regardless of what the North Dakota
Agriculture Commissioner says. Even if our commissioner cancels a pesticide because they say the product is unsafe in North Dakota, HB 1318 gives the manufacturer total immunity. We don’t need to let Washington tell North Dakota how to treat our farms and farmers.

Stand up for North Dakota and veto House Bill 1318.
