Since 2016, <strong>over 140 babies have been legally surrendered</strong> through this method, and expanding protections in North Carolina would allow more at-risk infants to be placed in loving homes. The bill also includes <strong>key safety measures</strong> and requires <strong>no state funding</strong>, as Baby Boxes are supported through private donations.</p> <p>This is a <strong>commonsense, pro-life</strong> measure that protects both mothers and newborns.
