As your constituent, I urge you to please cosponsor S.784/H.1117 “An Act promoting and enhancing the sustainability of birth centers and the midwifery workforce," filed by Senator Joan Lovely, Representative Manny Cruz, and Representative Lindsay Sabadosa.
Massachusetts is still in a maternal health crisis, but we know that midwives save lives. Now is the time to keep building on the tremendous progress made last year, ensure that birth centers can operate sustainably, and promote midwife workforce development to meet the urgent need.
