I urge you to support the Women’s Safety and Protection Act to ensure that North Carolina upholds the safety, privacy, and dignity of women and girls. This bill protects sex-segregated spaces—such as restrooms, locker rooms, and prisons—by ensuring they remain single-sex based on biological reality.
Women’s rights and protections depend on laws that recognize biological sex. Yet, some NC schools already allow boys in girls’ restrooms and overnight accommodations, putting young girls at risk. Across the country, misguided gender policies have led to tragic cases of assault, including a girl in Virginia sexually assaulted in a school bathroom and a female inmate in Rikers Island raped by a male prisoner housed in a women’s facility. North Carolina must act now to prevent such dangers.
With 14 states already taking action and federal policy shifting back toward recognizing biological sex, North Carolina has the opportunity to lead. Please support the Women’s Safety and Protection Act to protect women’s spaces and uphold common sense.
Thank you for your time and commitment to keeping NC safe.
