Big pesticide companies pushed hard to strip away local control in our state with HB 522. But thanks to strong legislators like you who took a stand for our communities and our farm families over foreign companies like Bayer and ChemChina, Montanan’s voices were heard.
Not every member of our state legislature was willing to stand up to the powerful lobbyists of foreign chemical companies, but I am thankful for those that did and thankful it was enough to prevent those multinational chemical companies from rewriting our state laws.
This is an issue that will no doubt come up again, and I and other constituents will be watching. Thank you for your service.
