Hello - I write as a Missourian interested in hearing health and the importance of providing necessary hearing technology to all. We are asking that you please support HB177/469 before the end of session.
This legislation has enjoyed speedy and overwhelming support in the House (and Senate last session). It's currently a stand alone piece of legislation that will allow for coverage for hearing aids and cochlear implants for MO HealthNet beneficiaries who currently can't access coverage.
These are expensive, and only needed by a very small percentage of folks, but being able to hear can make a world of difference when dealing with hearing loss (not only in people's personal lives, but also for employment outcomes and overall health outcomes). Missouri is one of the few states that does not provide this coverage.
Based on hearings and conversations, there is currently no opposition.
