Scientific evidence shows that shrimp feel pain, yet this mutilation continues in ASC-certified farms.</h3> <h3>We demand that the ASC:</h3> <h3>1.) Implement a clear, enforceable ban on eyestalk ablation in all ASC-certified operations;</h3> <h3>2.) Establish timelines and guidance to help producers transition away from this practice;</h3> <h3>3.) Support and promote humane, science-backed alternatives.</h3> <h3>Billions of shrimp endure horrific treatment, and consumers deserve to trust that “responsibly farmed” truly means ethical.</h3> <h3>Lead the industry forward by protecting the welfare of these sentient animals.</h3>
