<h3>Every year, over 20,000 American horses are shipped across our borders and slaughtered for meat. They endure overcrowded trailers, no food or water, and horrifying deaths in foreign slaughterhouses. Some remain conscious when the killing begins.</h3> <h3>These aren’t unwanted animals. Many are healthy horses, some were beloved companions, dumped at auctions when families could no longer afford them.<br />Slaughtering dogs and cats is already illegal in the U.S. Horses deserve the same protection.</h3> <h3>Congress must act now. I urge you to pass the SAFE Act into law and hold accountable those who profit from this cruelty.</h3> <h3>It is time to end this suffering and close the slaughter pipeline for good.</h3>
