I would like to express my strong support for SB 589 / HB 169, which would allow Tennesseans with health insurance to get a 12 month supply of birth control at one time. This change is particularly important for people who live far away from pharmacies, have inconsistent insurance coverage, are disabled, or just want to have another longer term birth control option.</p> <p><br />This year, TennCare implemented a similar policy that allows people on TennCare to get a 12 month supply at one time, if they request it from their pharmacy. </p> <p><br />I am a / I know Tennesseans who would benefit from this policy.
