Dear [Your Member of Parliament],

<p>I’m writing as your constituent because I’m very concerned that the federal government has decided to cancel the Canada Greener Homes Loan Program. This program has helped thousands of Canadians—including people in our community—make their homes more comfortable, lower their energy bills, and cut emissions.</p> <p>The families who are planning upgrades will be left stranded, and local contractors could face layoffs and uncertainty. We’ve seen before how “stop-and-start” programs hurt both homeowners and skilled trades workers.</p> <p>That’s why I’m asking you to champion the recapitalization of this program,  ensuring it gets resourced in Budget 2025. Longer-term funding would give families peace of mind, help small businesses grow, and support good careers in the skilled trades – all goals that align with Mark Carney’s mandate letter focusing on affordability initiatives, job creation and workforce opportunities.</p> <p>Making homes more efficient is one of the most affordable ways to bring down household costs and strengthen Canada’s energy future. Please do what you can to ensure the Greener Homes Loan Program continues without interruption.</p> <p>Thank you for your leadership,</p>
