Montanans Defend Civil Justice from Pesticide Immunity Push (House Bill 522)

When foreign chemical companies and corporate lobbyists tried to quietly push House Bill 522, a bill that would have handed pesticide manufacturers broad legal immunity, Montanans stepped up and made their voices heard.

From every corner of the state, constituents told their legislators:
Don’t let corporations like Bayer and ChemChina rewrite Montana law to protect themselves while putting our families, farmers, and communities at risk.

Thanks to strong resistance from key lawmakers, House Bill 522 was stopped. It didn’t pass, but the threat isn’t over. Voters are already warning: Don’t bring this back in 2026.

Thank your legislators!

Let your legislators know how thankful you are that they opposed corporate immunity and protected Montana families. Your voice matters.
