I’m writing in support of the REPO Implementation Act (S.2918). This bill authorizes the Secretary of State to repurpose Russia's frozen assets, and encourages our European allies to do the same.

Putin is convinced that he can outlast support for Ukraine. Nothing will be as effective at forcing him to negotiate as knowing Ukraine has secured the money it needs to keep fighting. What's more, this bill would force Russia to pay for it all — a masterstroke that would come at no cost to American taxpayers.

The REPO Implementation Act has already made it out of the Foreign Relations Committee by unanimous vote and now stands ready for a floor vote. I ask that you cosponsor this bill and urge Senate Leadership to finally schedule it for a floor vote.
