<p>Below are a selection of election law and finance bills that were retained during the 2025 legislative session, meaning the committees held them over for further review rather than voting right away.</p>
<p>Each bill has since received a recommendation of OTP (Ought to Pass) from its respective committee, and will be voted on by the full House January 7th and 8th to determine whether they advance to the Senate. </p>
<p><strong>HB 317: </strong>preventing a supervisor of the checklist from verifying a person's identity without identification, even if they personally know that person.</p>
<p><strong>CACR4: </strong>providing that only legal resident citizens who are at least 18 years of age or older who reside in the place they claim as a domicile shall be eligible voters.</p>
<p><strong>HB 323: </strong>requiring the presentation of a government-issued photographic means of identification in order to vote.</p>
<p><strong>HB 365: </strong>relative to proof of United States citizenship for indigent voters.</p>
