As your constituent, I’m writing to ask you to join the bipartisan Congressional Philanthropy Caucus. The caucus was relaunched in December 2025 by Rep. Blake Moore (R-UT) and Rep. Danny K. Davis (D-IL) to highlight the essential role nonprofit organizations and charitable giving play in strengthening communities across the country.
The caucus serves as a forum for members of Congress to better understand how nonprofits work on the ground and what they need to serve effectively. It promotes policies that support and expand charitable giving and encourages public-private partnerships that help local communities thrive and drive local impact.
Nonprofits provide countless programs that people rely on daily, but many of these organizations are facing rising demand, workforce challenges, and uncertainty around public funding. Strengthening charitable giving and improving collaboration across sectors are easy steps Congress can take to support this work.
