<h3>Happy and Patty have spent nearly fifty years trapped inside the Bronx Zoo. Both elephants were taken from the wild as calves and have lived without the space and social life they need to stay healthy.</h3> <h3>Happy has shown signs of foot pain which is a common and serious condition caused by restricted movement. Patty has been alone since her companion died in 2018 and isolation causes emotional harm in elephants.</h3> <h3>Experts agree that zoo environments cannot meet basic elephant needs.</h3> <h3>We call on the Bronx Zoo to transfer Happy and Patty to an accredited sanctuary where they can walk freely enjoy natural ground and live near other elephants.</h3> <h3>Take action now and move them to safety!</h3>
