Radon is the leading cause of lung cancer among non-smokers, and Pennsylvania has some of the highest radon levels in the country, yet too many homes, schools, and childcare facilities remain untested and unsafe. Pending Pennsylvania radon bills, HB 289 and SB 760, would strengthen testing, disclosure, and mitigation efforts to reduce preventable exposure and protect public health. Radon in schools is an environmental health hazard with a clear solution; PA lawmakers need to act now.
