<p>I am your constituent, and I am asking you to support efforts to reduce radon exposure in Pennsylvania schools, including legislation like HB 289 and SB 760.</p> <p>Pennsylvania has some of the highest radon levels in the country, and radon is the second leading cause of lung cancer. Regular testing and mitigation are inexpensive, effective, and widely recommended by public health experts. Children and school staff deserve school buildings that are safe from this known carcinogen.</p> <p>State funding for infrastructure and school safety can and should be used to support radon testing and mitigation. I urge you to ensure that these priorities are included in the budget and in any legislation related to school health and safety.</p> <p>Thank you for your leadership.</p>
