Summary

The Problem: The "Hemp Cliff" is Approaching
In late 2025, a sudden change was made to federal law (Section 781 of the 2026 Appropriations Act) that effectively recriminalizes 95% of the hemp products currently on the market. By imposing a nearly impossible limit of 0.4 mg of total THC per container, this law threatens to shut down thousands of small businesses, destroy over 300,000 American jobs, and wipe out a $28 billion industry by November 2026.

The Solution: A Bridge to Stability
We are fighting for the American Hemp Protection Act (H.R. 6209) to fully repeal this ban. However, as an immediate life-raft for our industry, we also need the Hemp Planting Predictability Act (H.R. 7010). This bill provides a critical two-year "Bridge" by delaying the enforcement of these restrictions until 2028. This delay gives us the time we need to secure a permanent legislative fix without forcing businesses to close their doors today.
