Dear [Your Elected Official],

Please do not let multinational pesticide companies rig the system with House Bill 2476.  Their lobbyists are going to say that bill is about labeling.  That is nonsense.  That bill would do away with our right to hold their bosses – like ChemChina and other foreign or multinational corporations – fully accountable in a civil court of law when their products do harm.

As your constituent, I’m asking you to oppose immunity for pesticide makers.  I’m asking you to oppose pesticide immunity legislation. That kind of legislation gives foreign chemical corporations like ChemChina total immunity for violating federal pesticide labeling requirements.

These companies are wanting a law that prevents them from facing accountability for products like Round Up and others linked to serious health issues. It's the same script that the tobacco industry was playing from, just a different product.
