The Bicyclist Safety Act passed the House of Delegates in a unanimous vote. Now we need you to speak up to help it pass the Senate.

Every year in Virginia, people are seriously injured or killed while riding bicycles on our roads. HB661 is a commonsense safety update that can help prevent these crashes, and it now needs Senate approval.

HB661 improves safety while preserving right-of-way rules and protecting pedestrians and drivers.

πSafety Yield: Allows people biking to treat stop signs as yield signs when the way is clear.

πΆ‍βοΈProceed on Walk Signal: Reduces crashes by getting riders out in front and through an intersection before cars begin moving

π²Riding Two Abreast: Freedom to choose on low-speed roads, clarity in language for high-speed roads

Special thanks to the Virginia Bicyclists Federation for all their work on state-wide bicycle issues.
