<p>Please, vote NO on HB2498 on Monday.</p> <p>Regulations already prevent TennCare from being used to cover gender-affirming health care. Why are we spending time trying to put it into the law? This is wrong direction for Tennessee. We ought to be working to help all our residents get access to the health care they need.</p> <p>The House has handled this bill badly. The TennCare Subcommittee didn't even ask the Division of TennCare to discuss whether they were covering gender-affirming care. In the Insurance Committee, the chair did not call on a witness who was signed up to testify against the bill. And on Thursday Calendar & Rules put the bill on the consent agenda instead of the regular calendar. The discussion has been minimal. </p> <p>Thank you for considering my views.</p>
