Dear Robert Aderholt, Chairman of the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Labor, Health and Human Services, Education, and Related Agencies

<h3>Federal appropriations approved by Congress are financing experiments that cut into kittens’ skulls, deliberately trigger strokes in puppies, sever cats’ spinal cords, inject viruses into young animals’ eyes, and infect dogs with disease for testing.</h3> <h3>These procedures cause extreme pain, permanent injury, and death.</h3> <h3>Public statements about phasing out dog and cat testing have not stopped the funding stream.</h3> <h3>As Chairman, you have direct authority over the budget that sustains these grants. Without appropriated funds, these projects cannot continue.</h3> <h3>I am calling on you to take immediate and decisive action. <br />Insert language into the appropriations bill that prohibits funding for NIH experiments on dogs and cats that inflict severe pain, neurological injury, toxic drug exposure, or deliberate infection.</h3> <h3>Cancel the funding that allows this suffering to continue!</h3>
