By now you’ve likely heard about President Trump’s latest executive order attempting to influence how states run their elections, including efforts to create a federal voter list and seriously restrict mail-in voting.

Secretary of State David Scanlan made it clear: New Hampshire—not the federal government—has the constitutional authority to run its own elections, and our state will not be compelled to hand over sensitive voter data or change its election processes.

At a time when national rhetoric is pushing to undermine accessible voting methods like mail-in ballots that so many Granite Staters rely on to make their voices heard, it matters to see leadership here at home affirm that our elections are secure and run by dedicated local officials.

➡️ Take a moment to thank Secretary Scanlan for defending New Hampshire’s elections and protecting voter privacy.
