<h3>Every spring, Canada authorizes the brutal killing of newborn harp seals on its ice floes.</h3> <h3>Nearly all are pups under three months old, beaten with clubs, shot from boats, and dragged with hooks while still conscious.</h3> <h3>Witnesses describe seals bleeding, thrashing, and suffering for long minutes before death. Veterinary experts have declared the hunt inherently inhumane.</h3> <h3>Canada’s closest allies — the European Union, the U.S, and the U.K. have already banned seal products because of cruelty.</h3> <h3>Canada must not stand alone in defending this brutality. End the commercial seal hunt now and protect seal pups from slaughter.</h3>
