<p>Currently, to access a free nondriver ID voucher in NH, your name must already&nbsp;appear on the voter checklist. But to get on the checklist in the first place, you need an ID. This leaves first-time voters in New Hampshire, whether newly 18 or new to the state, in a catch-22.</p> <p><br />SB 660 fixes this with a simple language change, replacing "listed on the voter checklist" with "proof of domicile." This small but important update ensures no eligible first-time voter is denied their right to cast a ballot, and that they are able do so at no additional cost.</p> <p><br />The Secretary of State's Office requested this change, and the Senate passed it with bipartisan support.
