Dear Sports Organization,
Washington Nationals pitcher Trevor Williams became the center of a national controversy after a team executive was caught on camera stating that Williams had been denied team promotion because of his outspoken Christian faith and public defense of his religious beliefs. The incident reinforced a concern shared by many faith-driven athletes and fans: while leagues openly promote many viewpoints, athletes who express Christian beliefs are too often met with pressure or consequences. That kind of double standard sends a clear message: faith is welcome only if it stays private.
We represent millions of faith-driven consumers who support professional sports and believe athletes should be free to live and speak according to their faith without fear of punishment. We are not asking for special treatment—only equal respect. When faith is pushed aside, it becomes invisible. But when we stand together, it becomes a voice that cannot be ignored. We urge you to ensure that faith-driven athletes and fans are welcomed, respected and free to live with integrity—on and off the field. Add us in.
Signed,
