Dear Representative,
I urge you to add your name as a cosponsor to the proposed constitutional amendment to end automatic birthright citizenship for children born to individuals who entered the United States illegally.
The American people are tired of watching our immigration laws manipulated through loopholes that were never intended by the authors of the 14th Amendment.
Birthright citizenship was established to guarantee citizenship to freed slaves following the Civil War, not to incentivize illegal immigration or reward unlawful entry into the United States.
A sovereign nation has both the right and the responsibility to define the requirements for citizenship and protect the integrity of its immigration system.
