Urge the Senate Judiciary Committee to Vote NO on Todd Blanche Confirmation
Img 0183

Dear Members of the Senate Judiciary Committee,

As anti-sex trafficking advocates, survivors, and concerned citizens, we write to urge you to oppose the confirmation of Todd Blanche as Attorney General.

Mr. Blanche’s handling of the Epstein case demonstrates a deeply troubling failure of leadership. Under his oversight, the Department of Justice released files containing significant redaction failures, exposing survivors’ names and personal information while still shielding alleged perpetrators and other powerful individuals. Survivors and their attorneys repeatedly warned the Department about these risks, yet identifying information was disclosed anyway, causing lasting harm that could have been prevented.

Equally concerning is the Department’s apparent effort to close the Epstein matter while major questions remain unanswered. Investigative leads are still outstanding, and millions of pages of records remain undisclosed. More than 1,000 victims have been identified in one of the largest sex trafficking operations in American history, yet only two individuals have been held accountable. Survivors have provided information, requested meetings, and urged further investigation, but their concerns have been met with dismissal and inaction.

Recent reports that senior administration officials, including Mr. Blanche, participated in discussions focused on managing the political fallout from the Epstein files rather than pursuing truth and accountability raise further concerns about his judgment and priorities. The attorney general must be committed to uncovering facts, following the evidence wherever it leads, and securing justice for crime victims.

An unresolved sex trafficking case should never be treated as a public relations problem.

Former Attorney General Bondi testified that Mr. Blanche was responsible for overseeing the Department’s review of the Epstein files. The failures that followed, including the exposure of survivors’ identities and the apparent disregard of credible investigative leads, occurred under his watch.

Survivors deserve truth, transparency, and accountability. Survivors across the country and around the world are watching this confirmation process closely. They are watching how the federal government responds when survivors come forward, when investigative leads are presented, and when serious failures occur.

Confirming Mr. Blanche despite his handling of the Epstein matter would send a troubling message: that survivors can be ignored, that accountability is optional, and that those who fail them can still be rewarded with higher office.

Your constituents are watching. Will you shield perpetrators from accountability, or stand with survivors, and for justice? We urge you to vote no on Mr. Blanche's confirmation.
