<p>Dear Representative,</p> <p>I urge you to support the articles of impeachment against U.S. District Judge Sparkle Sooknanan.</p> <p>Whether one agrees or disagrees with a particular policy, no federal judge should be permitted to substitute personal preferences for the constitutional role of the judiciary. Americans expect judges to faithfully interpret the law, not exercise powers reserved for the elected branches of government.</p> <p>When judges exceed their constitutional authority, Congress has both the power and the responsibility to respond.</p> <p>The impeachment process exists to protect our constitutional system of checks and balances, and I believe it should be used when circumstances warrant.</p> <p>Please support these articles of impeachment and reaffirm that every public official, including members of the federal judiciary, remains accountable under the Constitution.</p>
