<h3>We urge you to reject the proposed 214-meter shark net and six baited drumlines at Tinley Manor in South Africa.</h3> <h3>Shark-control gear along the KwaZulu-Natal coast killed an average of 411 animals each year from 2018 through 2022, including 356 animals that were not the target species. Dolphins, turtles, rays, and sharks have been among the animals killed.</h3> <h3>Tinley Manor has had no recorded shark attack since 1994.</h3> <h3>Please lead KwaDukuza Municipality in rejecting this lethal gear and choosing non-lethal ways to protect swimmers.</h3> <h3>Do not allow another shark net to become a death trap for animals.</h3>
