CAMPAIGN DESCRIPTION

Californians have the right to be clearly informed of how to use cannabis more safely, of the key and significant health risks associated with use, and of why it is safer to use legal products if using cannabis. Current required health warnings do not address many key issues and fail to visually communicate any warning effectively. The Solution? SB 1097 - The Cannabis Right to Know Act. Authored by Senator Pan and co-authored by Assemblymembers Irwin and McCarty. SB 1097 is an effective, low cost way to reduce harmful and costly outcomes of cannabis use. It is a minimum level of information that all consumers and members of the public exposed to advertising should receive.
