A SMALL DELEGATION FROM KAUA`I IS TRAVELING TO SWITZERLAND - HOME OF SYNGENTA - ON APRIL 23rd TO SEND A STRONG MESSAGE ON BEHALF OF KAUA`I AND HAWAI`I: *Syngenta is one of the world's largest chemical corporations and conducts pesticide intensive research of genetically modified crops on the tiny island of Kaua`i, Hawai`i. *An estimated 22 tons of "restricted use" pesticides have been applied on Kaua`i lands by Syngenta and the other multinational chemical corporations operating on Kaua`i (Dow, Dupont-Pioneer and BASF). * Many of these pesticides are banned in Switzerland, but are sprayed by Syngenta on a regular basis next to Kaua`i schools, hospitals and homes.
