Support our Environment! Allow SB 516 to come to the floor!

As a Catholic, I believe in the words of Pope Francis when he wrote in “Laudato Si” that we are all part of nature and therefore it is incumbent on each of us to work to find solutions to address the growing problem of climate change.

The Clean Energy Jobs Act (SB 516) is an important solution for Maryland that would take action to protect our environment.

SB 516 would provide much-needed reform to how we consume energy in our state by setting standards to help us move toward achieving and sustaining a healthy global ecosystem.

But this bill has been stalled. It is now in your committee, House Rules and Executive Nominations, waiting for the OK to be considered by the House. I ask that you please allow this bill to move and come to the floor for a vote.

We only have one planet and we must act now to protect it!

Thank you!
