Message to Shelby County legislators on anti-LGBTQ bills

Dear [title] [last name],

You are receiving this message because you are a member of the Tennessee General Assembly representing Shelby County, the largest county by population in Tennessee with the largest delegation to the Legislature.  So what you do as a group matters to the future of our state.

As a resident of Shelby County, I urge you to vote NO on the list of anti-LGBTQ bills at the bottom of this email.  And I urge you to vote NO instead of Yes or Present Not Voting every single time they come before you in committee or on the floor.  If you are already voting NO, you have my thanks.

The protection of LGBTQ people, including transgender youth who are under intense attack this year in the Legislature, is important to me.

Whether you’re a Republican or a Democrat, I am asking you to represent all of Shelby County, and that includes thousands of LGBTQ residents, their loved ones, and supportive allies.

If you want help understanding these issues, I will be glad to help get you the information you need.  Please, feel free to reach out.

Thank you!
