To Mayor Pitts and the Members of the Clarksville City Council:

I ask you to support proposed ordinance 14-2021-22 related to purchasing non-discrimination and proposed ordinance 15-2021-22 related to employment non-discrimination--both proposed by Council Member Evans.

As local governments across the state and around the country recognize the diversity of their communities, we want to make sure that the City of Clarksville continues to strive to improve its diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts.  These two proposed ordinances will help the city move forward in guaranteeing equal opportunity for LGBTQ people.

These ordinances not only send a positive message about our city, but they also show that we are serious about drawing on the talents that everyone brings to advancing Clarksville for years to come.
