Please, vote NO on HB2417 and HB2670 on February 15 when they come before the House Higher Education Subcommittee.
These bills micromanage the ways in which our public colleges and universities discuss diversity in instruction and training settings. We should leave those decisions to professionals in higher education. We certainly shouldn't have a list of suspect concepts in the Tennessee Code.
These bills will hurt efforts to diversify Tennessee campuses and make students and faculty feel welcome. Recruitment of students and faculty will suffer.
